Welcome Back WTSC- Spring/Summer 2013 As this is the kickoff of a new season, we’ll depart from our normal format. Helpful Items: Training Calendar for April & May- we are awaiting the summer school schedule to be released which may or may not affect our June & July training times, however we anticipate our training times to be the same as last summer, which means a continuation of the our regular school year training times for all 14 and under training groups. MSDWT administrators have closed all after school activities at North Central High School due to poor weather conditions. This closure remains in effect through Wednesday morning. NO WTSC practice Tuesday, March 5th- this also includes WTSC senior team. Swim lessons are also canceled for Tuesday PM. The lesson coordinator will be in touch regarding a make up date. Additionally, both WTSC seniors and IAM Masters team are canceled for Wednesday morning at NC.

For Championship meets, it is an honor for you to compete for TEAM WTSC if you have qualified for that meet. As such, if you have acheived Age Group State Time Standards, then you will be automatically entered for the Age Group State meet to represent WTSC in its final 14 and under championship meet. Lists of athletes that have in fact qualified for the meet will be posted in the Meet section to help provide information closer to the date of the meet. North Central High School will reopen Thursday afternoon for all activities. For the NC Natatorium, this means: No masters swimming on Thursday morning No NC High School Swimming and Diving in the AM NC Swimming and Diving practice WILL take place 3 to 5:30PM (this is a 30 minute extension to our regular scheduled practice duration for the afternoon) WTSC training groups- typical PM line-up: Crest and Tsunami 5:30 to 7:30PM, Breakers 5:45 to 7:15PM, Whitecaps 6 to 7PM. Washington Township Swim Club will now be offering underwater videotaping and stroke analysis services to all members in Breakers and above. All levels of swimmers are encouraged to take advantage of this new opportunity whether you are a new comer to the sport or a seasoned swimmer. Underwater filming will allow coaches and swimmers to observe and help improve stroke technique from a new vantage point that is next to impossible to gain out of the water.
