WTSC Video Stroke Analysis Program
Washington Township Swim Club will now be offering underwater videotaping and stroke analysis services to all members in Breakers and above. All levels of swimmers are encouraged to take advantage of this new opportunity whether you are a new comer to the sport or a seasoned swimmer. Underwater filming will allow coaches and swimmers to observe and help improve stroke technique from a new vantage point that is next to impossible to gain out of the water. This can be an invaluable tool if you or your swimmer are just trying to break a few bad habits and work on fundamentals, or if you’re looking for some fine tuning to reach that next level.
The program will be ran and operated by Breakers coach Michael Christy, and again is open to swimmers in Breakers and above. Filming will be done after practices Monday through Wednesday at North Central, and videos will be edited, critiqued, and emailed to swimmers and/ or parents within a week. A sign up sheet will be posted on the team bulletin board every week. To get the most out of this service it is encouraged that filming sessions are done on a regular basis to track improvement, or to maintain proper technique. Each session will be $35, and sign-ups will be done at least a week in advance on the team bulletin board. You will billed online through your website account; charges will be posted to your account unless you cancel with at least 24 hours notice.
Because of the holiday filming sessions will be offered on the 27th, 28th, and 29th, as well as January4th & 5th - however any and all available dates will be reflected on the sign up sheet located in the pool area.
