Holiday Champs Recap – WTSC kicked off the holiday season in style with an impressive showing at our Holiday Champs invitational. Thank you to our many parents and family members who devoted their time and energy to help run another awesome WTSC event. And what an event it was for our swimmers. An updated Honor Roll has been posted at the pool and online for review, but the following WTSC swimmers earned special shout outs for their accomplishments. First and foremost, welcome to WTSC to Chloe McCue and Noah Woelfle, who swam in their first meet as a member of our team. Congratulations to the newest member of the WTSC National Team as Kayley Spicer made her first career Futures cut with her first-place finish in the 200 Breaststroke. Also, congratulations to Leah Kiefer who made the first Senior State cut of her career in the 1650 Freestyle and to the following swimmers who made the first Divisional cuts of their careers in their respective events: Michael Barnett (100 & 200 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke), Cecelia Kaschner (200 Freestyle; 50 Breaststroke), Clay Nibarger (50 Freestyle; 50 Breaststroke), Gus Nibarger (50 Breaststroke) and Landry Stone (50 Freestyle). Jack Campbell (1650 Freestyle), Katie Countryman (200 Butterfly) and Annie Wolfe (500 Freestyle; 100 & 200 Backstroke) made new Senior State cuts in their respective events and Grady Mosby made his first Age Group State cuts of the season in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Sebastian Granados (100 & 200 Breaststroke; 200 IM), Sarah McPherson (100 & 200 Breaststroke) and Lillian Tabor (100 & 200 Backstroke; 100 & 200 Breaststroke; 400 IM) made their first Senior State cuts of the season in their respective events and the following WTSC swimmers made new Divisional cuts in their respective events: Charlie Allen (100 & 200 Breaststroke; 200 IM), Landon Barna (200 Breaststroke; 200 IM), Jacob Bastian (200 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke; 50 Breaststroke), Isla Chan (200 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke; 200 IM), Alexis Cheung (200 Freestyle; 200 Breaststroke; 200 & 400 IM), Clare Collins (50 Freestyle; 100 & 200 Breaststroke), Elaina Conway (50 & 100 Breaststroke), Gabriel Curtis (200 Freestyle; 50 Butterfly), Isabelle Durnil (200 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke), Zachary Efinger-Yarbrough (50 & 100 Freestyle; 50 & 100 Breaststroke), Phoebe Gordon (100 Breaststroke; 50 Butterfly), Darby Guerrettaz (200 & 400 IM), Nick Hedrick (1650 Freestyle), Henry Holsapple (50 Butterfly), Marissa Kampman (100 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke; 100 Breaststroke), Benjamin Kleber (50 & 100 Breaststroke; 50 Butterfly), Brooks Klene (100 Freestyle; 200 Breaststroke), Michael Leppert (500 Freestyle; 50 Breaststroke), Julieta Liborio-Ceron (100 Butterfly), Miles Oglesby (500 Freestyle), Kailani O’Neal (50 Breaststroke), Lillian Partington (100 & 200 Freestyle; 50 Butterfly), Clara Pulliam (100 Freestyle), Naomi Pulliam (100 Freestyle), Avanell Roberts (100 Backstroke; 400 IM), Genevieve Skiles (50 Backstroke; 200 IM), Maddox Smith (50 & 100 Backstroke; 50 Breaststroke), Zoey Tinder (50 & 100 Freestyle; 50 & 100 Breaststroke; 50 Butterfly), Nataly Trujillo-Magdaleno (100 Butterfly), Cecelia VanderHaeghen (50 Butterfly; 200 IM), Cora Vrabel (50 Butterfly) and Ella Wiley (200 Freestyle; 200 Breaststroke; 200 IM). Swimmers of the Month – Congratulations to the following swimmers who were chosen by their coaches as Swimmers of the Month for November: Scout Brim (Bronze), Michael Barnett & Phoebe Gordon (Silver), Molly Memmer & Madi Nash (Gold), Leah Kiefer & Kayley Spicer (Senior). WTSC is proud of our swimmers for their hard work and dedication to their team. And these swimmers as well as our previous Swimmers of the Month for September and October should see their group coaches for their new Swimmer of the Month T shirts!

 

December Schedule – A December practice schedule has been added to the “Practice Schedule” tab of the WTSC website. This document does not include the schedule for Christmas break, which will be added closer to the first day of break. All times and dates are subject to change and cancelation and any changes to our schedule will be communicated ASAP. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions.

 

Giving Tuesday Match – Yesterday was Giving Tuesday and as communicated earlier in the week, we have a special opportunity to continue our impressive fundraising efforts this season.
