Swimmers of the Month – Congratulations to the following swimmers who were chosen by their coaches as Swimmers of the Month for October: Landon Barna & Darby Guerrettaz (Senior), Miles Oglesby (Gold), Michael Barnett (Silver), Kylie Arney (Bronze). We are proud of these swimmers for their hard work and dedication to our team. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Intrasquad Recap – Thank you to everyone who attended our Kickoff Intrasquad and to all parents who volunteered to help us run the meet. It was a fun start to the season and most importantly, the first opportunity for many of our new swimmers to race for the first time as a member of our team. Welcome to WTSC to Kylie Arney, Michael Barnett, Scout Brim, Clare Collins, Walker Cone, Eden Cruz, Isabelle Durnil, Benjamin Kleber, Theo Mintun, Kailani O’Neal, Clara Pulliam, Avery Qualiato, Leo Qualiato, Audrey Renihan, Abigail Scarlett and Patrick Sprague. Our first Honor Roll of the season will be posted after the Riviera Invitational this weekend (see below), but we are off and running on another great season of WTSC swimming.

RIVI Fall Invitational – We are excited to see our team in action at our first invitational of the season this weekend, the RIVI Fall Invitational (October 18-19 @ IU Natatorium). This meet features a family-friendly format with all swimmers competing in the same sessions in an awesome setting at the IU Natatorium, the “House of Champions” and arguably the fastest pool in the world. Entries for this event are posted at the pool and online for review and an informational email will be sent to all participating families later this week. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this event and get ready for a great weekend of racing.

IU Holiday Hoopla – We will make a return trip downtown in November for the IU Holiday Hoopla (November 7-9 @ IU Natatorium). Online entries for this event are closed. However, the host club is accepting additional swimmers. If you missed the initial deadline but would like your swimmers to participate in this event, please speak with your group coach by October 29. A meet schedule document is available on the event page on our website and additional information will be available closer to the event.

WTSC Fall Festival – All WTSC swimmers, families and close friends are invited to the annual WTSC Fall Festival (Friday, October 24 @ Eagle Forge Farm; 6-9pm). This event is one of our team's favorite traditions and is a fun way to enjoy the fall weather and some time away from the pool with a bonfire, food and hayrides for the kids! WTSC will provide hot dogs, buns, bottled water and plates/utensils. All attending families are asked to pitch in additional items; details are available on the event page on our website. All families should bring their own camping chairs for the bonfire. The cost for this event is $5 per person (maximum of $20 per family) that will be billed directly to your account. Signups are now live on the event page on the club website where you can RSVP just like you would for a swim meet. When signing up, indicate the total number of people in your group attending in the comment box. If you have more than one swimmer, please RSVP your entire group via one swimmer only. Please RSVP by October 23. Additional information about the fall festival will be communicated closer to the date.

Elsmore Swim Shop – If you need any equipment or team apparel for the season, please visit our official equipment provider, Elsmore Swim Shop. You can visit Elsmore in person at their 96th Street location or click the Elsmore logo on the WTSC homepage to shop online.
