Good Luck – The start of the “Championship Season” is 24 hours away as our swimmers will put their hard work to the test starting tomorrow at the ISI Senior State Championships (July 16-20 @ IU Bloomington). An informational email has been sent to all participating families; please speak with Coach Josh if you have questions about the meet. And good luck to our swimmers in action this weekend at Senior State!
BBSC Recap – Our swimmers wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing at the BBSC Summer Splash. An updated Honor Roll has been posted online and at the pool, but the following swimmers earned special recognition for their accomplishments. Phoebe Gordon added her name to the Honor Roll with her first Divisional cuts of the season in the 50 & 100 Backstroke. And Grady Mosby made his first Age Group State cut of the season in the 50 Freestyle. Molly Memmer made a new Age Group State cut in the 400 Freestyle and Jojo Webster made a new Divisional cut in the 50 Freestyle. Check out the Honor Roll for these highlights and many more. Swimmers of the Month – Congratulations to Landon Barna, who was co-Swimmer of the Month for June for the Gold Group. Landon’s name was inadvertently left off the list of Swimmers of the Month last week. Congrats to Landon and all selected swimmers for their hard work and dedication.
Last Practice & First Practice – The “Championship Season” and all the fast swimming happening over the next few weeks will lead us into our August hiatus. Our last official practice of the summer will be Thursday, July 31. As is our custom, we will take August off so our swimmers can get their school year off to a good start and everyone can get some hard-earned rest. We will begin the 2025-26 short course season on Tuesday, September 2. More information about our short course season will be available as our startup date gets closer.
Age Group State – The “Championship Season” will continue with the ISI Age Group State Championships (July 25-27 @ IU Indianapolis Natatorium). This meet is the state championship meet for 14&Under swimmers. Our commitment deadline for this event is July 18. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this event.
Divisionals – Our final meet of the long course season will be the summer Divisional Championships (August 1-3 @ Crawfordsville HS). This meet is identical to the traditional March Divisional meet and is appropriate for all WTSC swimmers who have met the qualifying times. Our commitment deadline for this event is July 25. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this event.
