North Central HS Pool – We are pleased to be back in our home pool sooner than expected. We appreciate your understanding regarding our offsite training arrangements. A July practice calendar has been added to the “Practice Schedule” tab of the WTSC homepage which reflects our return to NC. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated ASAP.
RIVI Recap – WTSC swimmers turned in many noteworthy performances under the sun and blue skies at the RIVI Summer Spectacular. An updated Honor Roll has been posted online and at the pool, but the following swimmers earned special shout outs. Congratulations to Miles Oglesby who added his name to the Honor Roll with his first Divisional cuts of the season in the 50 & 100 Freestyle. The following WTSC swimmers made new Divisional cuts in their respective events: Belle Broadus (200 Freestyle), Isla Chan (200 Freestyle), Elaina Conway (100 Backstroke), Sebastian Granados (200 Backstroke), Brooks Klene (200 Freestyle), Madi Nash (400 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke), Maddox Smith (400 Freestyle), Kayley Spicer (200 Backstroke; 200 Butterfly), Cora Vrabel (100 Butterfly) and Annie Wolfe (100 Breaststroke). And Paul Freeman (100 Freestyle; 50 & 100 Backstroke; 50 & 100 Breaststroke), Sebastian Granados (50 & 100 Breaststroke) and Sam Wolfe (200 Freestyle) picked up first-place finishes in their respective events. Open Water State Recap – Congratulations to Sebastian Granados and Leah Kiefer on their outstanding performances at the Indiana Swimming Open Water State Championships held at Geist Waterfront Park in Fishers. Sebastian finished 22nd and Leah finished 25th in the 1600-meter race and represented WTSC well.
BBSC Summer Splash – Our final meet before the “Championship Season” arrives will be at the newly renovated Brownsburg HS pool as we attend the BBSC Summer Splash (July 11-13 @ Brownsburg HS). This meet will be the “last chance” opportunity for Divisional and State cuts. Entries for this event are now closed and are available online and at the pool for review. Additional information will be available closer to the meet. Please speak with your group coach if you have any questions.
