Z-Freeze Recap – WTSC returned to racing with a bang in a highly successful trip to the Z-Freeze Invitational. An updated Honor Roll is posted online and at the pool, but the following WTSC swimmers earned special shout outs for their accomplishments. First and foremost, the New Year means new names on the Honor Roll. Congratulations to Reese Cunningham (50 Breaststroke), Phoebe Gordon (100 Backstroke) and Miles Oglesby (100 Freestyle) who made the first Divisional cuts of their careers in their respective events. Amos Groothuis returned to the WTSC lineup with a vengeance, posting his first Age Group State cuts of the season in the 50 & 100 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke. And Ruby Chesebrough (50 Freestyle) and Denison Stone (50, 100 & 200 Freestyle) added their names to the Honor Roll with their first Divisional cuts of the season. The following WTSC swimmers made new Divisional cuts in their respective events: Amos Groothuis (100 Butterfly), Brody Guerrettaz (50 Freestyle; 100 Breaststroke), Brooks Klene (200 Freestyle), Michael Leppert (200 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke; 50 Butterfly), Molly Memmer (200 Backstroke), Grady Mosby (200 Backstroke), Genevieve Skiles (50 & 100 Breaststroke) and Cora Vrabel (100 Freestyle; 50 & 100 Breaststroke; 200 IM). And Amos Groothuis took home first place finishes in the 50 & 100 Freestyle. Check out the Honor Roll for these highlights and many more. Way to go WTSC!

 

WTSC Winter Fundraiser – Information was sent out earlier today about our 2025 fundraising campaign. All funds will be used to purchase new equipment and upgrade existing equipment to better train our swimmers, offer scholarships to new swimmers in the Bronze and Silver Groups, and more. You can also select your swimmer’s training group and leave a shout out for the club, the coaches or whatever you like. Groundhog Invitational – WTSC will be back in the hosting business soon as we welcome a strong field of guest teams to North Central for the WTSC Groundhog Invitational (January 31-February 2 @ NC). Entries for this event are now closed and are available online and at the pool for review. WTSC has a great reputation as an event host and that is thanks to you, our families. Thank you for filling your volunteer shifts for the weekend and if you still need to select shifts or review your assignments, click the “Job Signup” button on the event website. A schedule and order of events document has been posted to the meet page on our website and additional information will be available closer to the event. If you have questions about volunteering, please speak with WTSC Business Manager J’nai Cochran and if you have questions about the meet, please speak with your group coach. Get ready for another great weekend of hosting and racing!

 

Northside Invitational – WTSC will return to our traditional late-season event, the Northside Invitational (February 15 & 16 @ Carmel HS). This event is appropriate and encouraged for all Gold, Silver and Bronze swimmers. Senior swimmers should speak with Coach Josh if they are interested in participating in this event. Event signups are now live on the event page on our website with an in-house commitment deadline of February 1. A schedule and order of events document has been posted to the meet page and additional meet information will be available closer to the event. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this meet.
