1. Deadlines- see chart below. Note events are listed in order of sign up deadline.

* No regular practice on Saturday October 4th. A special workout led by Olympic Coach Todd Schmitz is available that morning at NC, for those that sign up at both www.inswimming.org as well as our own website. This is only available for high school aged swimmers.

2. Other News

• New Parent Meeting this Wednesday 6 to 7 PM in the Pool Classroom.
• 9th Grader Swimmer &/or Parent Meeting this Thursday. FAQ session for the upcoming high school season. Also  6 to 7  PM in the Pool Classroom.

3. Swim-A-Thon

We will be running a Swim-A-Thon this year to help support our Scholarship Program as well as build funds for purchasing equipment for swimmers. Such equipment in the past included monofins for teaching butterfly kick, parachutes for resistance training, and power towers for speed work. In line with our team motto "Superior Swimming Supportive Community" we also continually have need to help fund those in our swimming Scholarship Program. Details about the Swim-A-Thon include:

• Actual "swim your laps" day is Friday, October 24th. Swimmers may swim up to 200 laps (5,000 yards), however the coaching staff will set appropriate goals for each group.
• We will have a separate page on our website with all information and details.
• Goal is to raise at least $50 per swimmer. Awesome prizes for the leader in each training group like Speedo Backpacks, Mesh bags, MP3 players, etc. We will also run a raffle for the parents that awards "3 shifts off" your volunteering requirement.
• We will have both "hard copy" materials for you to hand to family, friends, and neighbors, as well a secure on-line donation center via our team website. You can direct those same family, friends, and neighbors to donate there. Our website will track day to day results.
• More details on this program will be released in the coming days.
