1) Upcoming events and corresponding deadlines:
- Riviera Invite at IUPUI. Note a new deadline Tuesday, September 23rd at noon. Last year we had sixty swimmers entered in the meet- we hope to surpass that number and field the largest team at the meet! Click here for more details and to sign up.
- Kick-off dual meet at NC on Friday October 3rd. Our first competition of the season and a great first step for our new swimmers. Sign up by October 1st here.
- We are pleased to announce a special day for our older swimmers. All Crest, Tsunami and Senior swimmers are invited to sign up for "Breakfast with Olympians" day! Mark Gangloff, Olympic Breaststroker and Gold Medalist, as well as Kristen Heiss, multi-National Team Swimmer, will join us on Saturday, October 18th. Read up on all details here.
- Fall Festival- WTSC's 3rd year at Eagle Forge Farm in Westfield! We will celebrate on Friday, October 10th- the day before we head down to IUPUI to take on teams at the Rivi Invite. Come on out to this grand property and barn for a good old-fashioned bonfire & hayride. Details here.
- Registration- note to our returning families, your grace period of registration is now over. If you have not yet registered for 2014-2015, your swimmer will not be allowed to practice. Contact Business Manager if you have any questions.
2) News
- Sign up for WTSC's text message service! We offer a free text message service for last minute practice changes and other emergency communication. While it's relatively rare for us to use it, when we do, it's very convenient feature for our members (think last winter's snow cancellations and reschedules)! To learn more, sign into your account and look under the Calendar tab for directions and details.
- New Parent Meeting- parents new to the sport should plan on attending our New Swim Parent Presentation. Wednesday, September 24th in the Pool Classroom from 6 to 7pm.
- New NC Swimming & Diving parent meeting- FAQ meeting for current 9th graders at NC. Also in the Pool Classroom, on Thursday, September 25th, from 5:15 to 6:00pm.
