1. Deadlines

  • Indianapolis Indians Night for WTSC; sign up by tomorrow 8PM. A great night out at Victory Field cheering on the home team-- and a great way to unwind from the weekend with family and friends. We have our own reserved Lawn section. RSVP on the team website, pick up your tickets at Will Call, pay for your tickets via the team's online bill pay system. Plus it's dollar menu night! Bring in blankets to the pool this weekend to reserve your particular spot on the field. Victory Field staff will place them ahead of gate opening just for WTSC!
  • No current meet deadlines this week- starting next week, all meets for the remainder of the summer will be posted.

2. WTSC Father's Day Challenge Invite this weekend. It's our time to shine, both for our swimmers and our parent group, showing our visitors how tough we race and how great we host! We suggest you redirect to the meet page on our website to confirm:

  • What your child is swimming- make no assumptions, double check! Be sure to arrive so that your swimmer can be ready to swim 15 minutes before the posted warm up time.
  • Your volunteer shift
  • If you are signed up for the mile, it has been moved earlier on the day Friday. Sign in & warm up 2:15pm, Race 3pm.
  • If you are signed up for other events on Friday, know events have been limited and some swimmers will be cut from their events. In order to keep the timeline reasonable, we are limiting all events to the top 27 swimmers on Friday PM. No events are limited Saturday and Sunday.
  • Team Uniform Reminder for meets; Friday- black, Saturday- red, Sunday- black. This applies to both team t-shirts and caps. Pick up new or extra caps on practice on Thursday!
  • Reminder to parents- bring in your water or soda donations by the start of the meet on Friday. Several families have already dropped off at the pool. Also feel free to do so on Thursday at practice.

3. Other News

  • Schedule changes:
    • Seniors, your last practice of the week before the meet is Thursday AM. No Thursday PM or Friday AM practice.
    • Tsunami- no Thursday AM practice, only Thursday PM.
    • No practice for ALL swimmers on Monday. After a great weekend of racing, take the day off from the sport and join us at Victory Field for an Indianapolis Indians game!
    • This coming Tuesday- seniors and Tsunami AM only. All other practices are cancelled due to a building closure in the afternoon.
  • A reminder to our parents- please keep siblings in the pool area during practice hours. We have fielded some recent complaints from the school administration that our members are either playing rough in the adjacent hallway or wandering to far reaches without adult supervision.
