INFORMATION AND ATTACHMENTS:

  • New addition: meet website as administered by the host team.....lots of good information including parking, concessions, maps, etc.
  • INDIVIDUAL ENTRY REPORT. Swimmers are allowed up to 6 individual events (assuming they have that many cuts) but may be entered in more than 6 and then "scratched down" on Friday at the meet. In the event your swimmer is entered in more than 6 individual events, please report to Warm up at least 20 minutes early on day one so that the swimmer can talk with the coaches regarding their event selection.
  • Schedule
  • Relay Report- Alternates are indicated by being the 5th, 6th, or 7th swimmer listed for a relay on the event selection page online or explicitly labeled so above.
  • Also provided is a combined INDIVIDUAL AND RELAY DOC, however this does not show as much detail as either of the docs alone.
  • How do you know when you swim?? Please use the documents below to match your event #’s to the event schedule. Keep in mind the following regarding relays: for 11& overs, all relays seeded in the top 8 swim in the evening session while relays seeded 9th and lower compete in the morning session. This is also the case for distance swimmers- top 8 swim in the Finals while all seeds ranked 9th and lower swim in the AM session. RELAY & DISTANCE EVENT SEEDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL WEDNESDAY AT THE EARLIEST.
  • Psych Sheet. Please use it to determine if your relay swims in the AM session or the PM session for all 11 & overs. For 10 & und there is only one session per day. Also, use the estimated timeline . Please know this is just an estimation and may change depending on pace of the meet and scratches. You may swim earlier than what is posted.
  • Questions: contact Coach Dennis, Coach Todd, Coach Lauren, or Coach Mike

Schedule- practice attendance required!

We will keep our regular practice schedule up to the meet, except we will be finished approximately 15 minutes earlier each day, and 30 minutes earlier the two days before the meet.

Practice is required for the next week and a half. Failure to honor this commitment may jeopardize your position on relay. The swimmers have worked long and hard this season- this is our attempt to keep a level and fair playing field.

If you have conflicting schedule, please let the coaches know AHEAD OF TIME!!! We are practicing relay starts, going through team chats and expectations, and need to know when swimmers might be missing.

Relay Reports for AGS

A few key points: 1) Relay orders/combinations are likely to change. The coaching staff will publish relay orders Tuesday before the meet. Even then, changes may happen up to the start of that event. It is the sole discretion of the coaching staff to formulate relays. We build relays ONLY in the best interest of the team- in other words we build relays in fastest combinations in all but the most extreme circumstances. 2) What does it mean if you are an alternate? It means that you are a full member of the Age Group State team, and you may be needed on a relay due to sickness, injury, etc. , however there are no gaurantees. You must report to the day/session of that relay competition unless the WTSC Coaching Staff notifies you otherwise. It is likely that alternates will be called upon. Full practice attendance and participation in the week’s activities is required of all team members, including alternates, 3) A relay may have no alternates due to shortages of swimmers!!! We are counting on you to be on time at all sessions that you swim!, 4) Please consult the Event order list to determine when your relay competes--keep in mind that we can’t determine whether your relay will swim in the AM or PM session (10 and unders excluded) until the meet host releases the heat sheet.
