OPEN WATER TRAINING DAY

Please join us Sat. June 30 for open water training. Swimmers should arrive dressed to swim by 9 am at the home of Mitch and Sandy Roob, 6319 Cherbourg Dr., Indianapolis, 46220. Lake Charlevoix is on Fall Creek Road just west of Shadeland and east of Kessler/Emerson and Lake Clearwater. We will begin with a short talk on open water safety, race day techniques and strategy. Lake Charlevoix is a spring fed lake that is approximately 600m in length. Whitecaps will swim one circuit of the lake and are encouraged to wear their fins. Breakers will swim two circuits, Crest 3 etc.. Mitch will be serving blueberry pancakes to all participants afterward. For questions call the Roob home at 253-0432 or Mitch's cell at 460-5819. Please RSVP by Friday on the team website.From I-465 N take exit 37 B (Binford Blvd.) and turn left at 71st. Turn right at Shadeland Ave. and take another right at Fall Creek Rd. Lake Charlevoix is the first subdivision on your left.

For those who are not aware, Open Water State Championships are coming up soon on Tue. July 10th. Ten and unders swim a half mile, 11-12 1 mile, 13-14 2 miles and 15& over 5k.
