WTSC Holiday Gift Drive
We have worked with the Washington Township Home School Counselors once again to show our commitment to the community. As times are tough for everyone, we felt it was appropriate to give back to the community. WTSC has adopted 4 families from the Washington Township Community this holiday season. Each WTSC age group has been given a family to help brighten their holiday season. On Monday, you will find large poster fish bowls on the walls of the pool area. (Each fish bowl will have the name of the age group listed.) Each bowl will have many little fish with the needs of the family listed. Please select a fish or 2 (or more if you are able) and take it with you to purchase the item(s). (This will help us keep track of what is purchased and what is still needed) Baskets will be provided for each group to place their items in each evening. Please place the fish with your purchase. This helps us keep everything organized. The baskets will be emptied each evening to ensure the safety of the items. The wishes from the families are for basic necessities. Things many of us take for granted-shirts, pants, socks, underwear,… In previous years, we’ve been able to provide 3 shirts and 3 pairs of pants for each child.
If you find something on a list from a different age group, please feel free to purchase it. Our goal is to cover all of the items needed for these families.
If you are not a shopper or do not have time, you are welcome to purchase gift cards and someone from the board or one of the home school counselors will shop for you from the list. If you like, a receipt will be provided. For those that do not usually go into the pool area, attached is a list of each age group and the family’s needs. We will update the fish bowls as items come in. Just a reminder, all items should be new. The last day for collection will be Tuesday, December 20th.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we only have 1 week to make this happen.
