WTSC Summer Travel Meet to Vincennes
WTSC's Summer Travel Meet
The Coaching Staff & Board of Directors firmly believe that team bonding is at its highest when a team travels together... shared hotel time, meals, hanging out at the meet. There is something about hitting the road as a team that the swimmers just love- stories to be shared by all.
For the Summer of 2011, we are heading to Vincennes, Indiana the last weekend in June- the 24th to 26th.
This is perfect timing for several reasons:
- It's far enough in the long course season for all swimmers to be in full competition shape.
- It's one week before many will be taking some time off over the 4th of July holiday weekend.
- It's 3 weeks before our own WTSC Catch the Last Wave Invite
Vincennes Swim Team puts on a great meet that's popular with teams that return year after year.....
- Outdoor 50 meter meet
- Spirit awards for teams ensures active and fun competition for the swimmers
- Coach and parent relays provides a little entertainment for the kids and spectators
- Typically you'll see team tents decorated with a theme--- the coaching staff is working on a theme for our team
- We are currently in the process of securing a hotel block at affordable prices for our team

Meet Schedule:
Friday afternoon (warm-up 12:45) -- 1500 M freestyle
Friday evening (warm-up 3:45) -- 13 & over 400IMs, 12 & under 200 IMs, all 400 free
Saturday & Sunday mornings (warm-up 7:00am) -- 9/10s, 11/12s, and 10 & unders
Saturday & Sunday afternoons (warm-up noon) 13 & overs
The 800 free will be swum on Saturday AFTER all 12 & under events have been conpleted.
Swimmers may swim 5 individual event per day plus relays.
